| Radio-controlled trucks, or RC cars as they are generally named, are a good way of spending time both for children and adult people. Their work is founded on a system of remote control. Another kind of remote control trucks is wire connection cars, but RC trucks are much more popular. Radio controlled cars are commonly divided in 2 groups: toy version trucks designed for kids and hobby-grade model that is designated for juveniles and adult people.
These two models of radio-controlled cars differ, but nevertheless have something in common. Both of them constitute replicas of real-life vehicles and are controlled via radio control. But there're a number of distinguishing features of these 2 models. First of all, a toy version is a solid plastic representation of the car while the hobby-grade version is very close to a real life truck in terms of looks and individual parts. The hobby-grade RC cars are constructed in the same manner as a real-life car. What's more, this model requires the same service and maintenance like you are the owner of a real truck.
There are different methods of powering hobby-grade radio controlled cars. They may be electric, fuel or even nitro powered. Making a decision which one to select isn't that easy. All the versions have their own pros and cons that should be weighed up. For example, an electric powered radio-controlled truck will be lighter that a petrol run one, but the last will be faster than the first one. Whatever the case, these cars are so intricate, that any enthusiast can transform his electric truck into a petrol one, or vice versa, without particular efforts.
What is so particular about hobby-grade radio controlled cars that attracts attention of numerous men of all ages to them? For the main part, it's their intricacy. It isn't a toy, it is actually a real vehicle, but very small. Moreover, these RC cars can be used for racing and what man would refuse to feel oneself a racer? It is much more fun than computer games, that is the reason why radio-controlled trucks are so attractive to big boys.
